History of ALD914 Austin 7
First registered 19/10/1933, no history until around 1970 when the car
was purchased by Mr C Broklehurst of Altringham
"I remember passing an E type Jag at 55mph and I was towing a homemade
trailer with my canoe on board. The trailer hitched onto a modified
wheel centre
which bolted to the spare wheel support. Oh , what we do as kids. The
small
bolts on the carrier were always much on my mind. I assume the E-Type
was
still in bottom gear, for I'm sure I was not!"
He made many trips
around Europe and the car never let him down. Some or the rally badges
are on the inside of the passenger door.
In 2006 the car was sold to Mr Cormode of Oldham and the car eventually moved to
the Isle Of Wight. I purchased it in Nov 2010.
